What I enjoyed most at Banksia Park International High School were the music lessons. In Japan we don’t have music ensemble. It was new for me to play music with students in the music class.
I also enjoyed the excursion to the city with other international students.
All experiences with homestay and school will be memorable to me. Everything in Australia was new for me. I love this country and this school.
Kosuke MoriYear 10 student from Japan
What I enjoyed most at Banksia Park International High School was the excursion camp with the Outdoor Education class. I had the opportunity to try new experiences and at the same time create better relationship with my friend. However, it was a really good way to explore new places and activities in Australia. I was surprised about the variety of subjects at the school, which allows the students to specialise in the subjects they prefer. And participating in Clubs, which helped to create new friendships.
Teachers were very helpful, really understanding and available to answer all my questions.
What I enjoyed most at Banksia Park International High School was the variety of practical lessons which I have never learned in Japan: Photography, Café Skills, Design, Society & Culture. In my home country, I can learn just academic things.
Teachers were very caring and helpful. Although Japanese names can be difficult to pronounce for most, everyone tried to utter correctly and memorised my name and face.
A big congratulations to two of our Year 10 students who are achieving great success in their chosen sports.
⚾ Kaeden Sanders has been named Baseball SA Under 16 Division 1 MVP for the 2025–26 season, with his outstanding performances for Northern Districts Baseball Club recognised at the Baseball SA Junior Baseball League Presentation Event. Dominating both on the pitcher's mound and at the plate, Kaeden played a key role in leading his team to a Grand Final appearance and runner-up finish.
🏊 Owen has been selected to represent South Australia at the School Sport Australia 13–19 Years Swimming Championships in Melbourne this July. Owen will compete in seven events across freestyle, butterfly and backstroke disciplines, as well as relay events, as he continues his journey towards the Australian National Swimming Championships in 2027.
These achievements are a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment both students have shown to their sports. We are incredibly proud of Kaeden and Owen and look forward to following their continued success.

🏀 Congratulations to our Year 7/8 Boys Basketball team, who have qualified for the State Finals after an impressive campaign. We wish them the very best as they continue their journey.
🏉 Our Year 11/12 Open Boys Football team has also progressed to the next round of the Statewide competition after a strong performance. Good luck boys!
🏉 Our Year 10–12 Girls Football team defeated Riverbanks before suffering a heartbreaking two-point loss to Kapunda, ending their Statewide campaign. The girls represented BPIHS with determination and pride throughout.
⚽ Our Year 7/8 Boys and Girls Soccer teams both competed strongly in their Statewide competitions. While their campaigns have come to an end, they should be proud of their efforts and sportsmanship.
We are incredibly proud of all our students for their dedication, perseverance and commitment to representing BPIHS both on and off the field. 💙

🎉 Halfway There, Year 12! 🎉
This week our Year 12 students celebrated reaching the halfway mark of their final year of school! 🌟
On Tuesday, students enjoyed a fun PJ Day, taking a moment to relax and celebrate how far they have come. Even our Year 12 Mentors got into the spirit, joining in the pyjama fun alongside the students! 🛌😄
Today, the celebrations continued with a special morning tea, where students shared photos of themselves from when they first started school. 📸💙
It was wonderful to reflect on the journey from those first days in the classroom to becoming the young adults they are today. The photos sparked plenty of laughs, smiles, and memories as students looked back on how much they have grown over the years.
Congratulations, Year 12! The finish line is getting closer, but there are still plenty of memories to make. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved so far and can't wait to see what the rest of your final year brings.#BPIHSB#Year12e#halfwaythereT#ClassOf2026f2026 ... See MoreSee Less
🥁🇯🇵 Last week, our Year 8–12 Japanese and Music students participated in a unique Japanese Taiko Drumming Experience in the Kumangka Theatre! 🎶✨
Students learned about the history of taiko, explored the traditional instruments, and discovered the important role taiko plays in Japanese culture and society. They also had the exciting opportunity to get hands-on and learn authentic drumming techniques under the guidance of Kiyomi Sensei. 👏🎌
There was plenty of energy, plenty of noise, and plenty of fun! 🥁🔥
A huge thank you to Kiyomi Sensei from Tyke-Oh for bringing the exciting world of Japanese taiko drumming to BPIHS. 🙏🇯🇵🎶

🏃♂️💙 Our Year 12 PE class recently had an incredible opportunity to visit the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) for the Heart of the Community – Sport Volunteer Expo! 🏆🙌
Held as part of National Volunteer Week 🤝, the expo gave our students a chance to explore sport volunteering and the many career pathways available in health and physical education. 💼⚽🏀 They connected with representatives from South Australia's State Sporting Organisations and heard firsthand how volunteering can open doors to exciting jobs and careers in sport. 🚀
Students also enjoyed a guided tour of SASI's brand-new world-class facilities 🏟️, including the Adelaide University Sports Science Hub 🔬, and learned about the lives and routines of elite-level athletes in South Australia. 🥇💪
A fantastic experience all round — well done to our Year 12 PE cl#NationalVolunteerWeeku#FutureCareersu#SportVolunteeringl#sasir#BPIHSASI #BPIHS 💙💛 ... See MoreSee Less
